About Us

Haywood's Jewelers started in Rocky Mount, VA in 1953 as Kingoff’s Jewelers.  A young Rudy Haywood was the manager.  Ten years later Haywood purchased the business from Kingoff and changed the name to Haywood’s.  As Haywood’s grew, Harold Ingram joined the staff in 1968, quickly learning every aspect of the business.   Ingram’s passion for his customers allowed Haywood’s to thrive.  In 1998, Harold Ingram bought the business when Mr. Haywood retired.  In August of 2004, Harold Ingram formed a partnership with his trusted employee, Joanna Gruver.  Together they opened a 2^nd location in Westlake Towne Center, Smith Mountain Lake.   Haywood’s looks forward to future growth but is committed to staying true to their core values and dedication to their customers.

	Joanna Gruver Owner Joanna has been a part of Haywood’s Jewelers for 20 years. She loves what she does and her community. It makes her happy to combine the two. From working on the bench to traveling to Europe to purchase diamonds, Joanna has seen all parts of the jewelry world. Come See Joanna for anything, big or small, she can conquer it all.
	Charity Evans Store Manager Charity has been working with Haywood’s Jewelers for 10+ years. During her time at Haywood’s she has achieved her Accredited Jewelry Professional and has been trained as a bench jeweler as well. Charity has strong family ties to our wonderful community of Smith Mountain Lake. For jewelry repair, custom design, or to find something completely new come see Charity.
	Beverly Coleman Jeweler Beverly has been with Haywood’s for over 3 years and has been a bench jeweler for over 30 years. She has been a laser welding expert for 15 of those years. She is from Eden, North Carolina and moved to SML full time in 2014. Bev loves boating with friends and family on the lake and tending to her beautiful flower garden. 	Sierra Dubbeld Lead Sales Associate Sierra has worked for Haywood’s over a year. She is a graduate from Ohio Christian University with an associates degree in business. Sierra has recently completed Jewelry Essentials, 1st step towards her Accredited Jeweler Professional. She is also very involved in the worship ministry at Eastlake Community Church. Come see Sierra for all your jewelry needs.
	Krissy Ruggiero Sales Associate Krissy has been with Haywood’s Jewelers for almost 3 years. She has completed GIA Jewelry Essentials course to better serve her customers. Krissy has a passion for singing and a heart for animals especially her dogs. She also volunteers for the Franklin County Humane Society. To recreate a jewelry piece or find something new, come see Krissy.
	Madison Shubert Sales Associate Madison has been working for Haywood’s Jewelers for 2 years. Currently a senior at Franklin County High School, she is looking forward to attend Radford University in the fall to pursue a career in communications. Madison is various school activities and clubs, as well as a participate in Young Life. Come in and meet Madison and let her take care of you needs today.
	Zoe Young Sales Associate Zoe has been with Haywood’s for just shy of a year. She is currently attending Radford University as a Psychology major. Zoe is also prides herself in being artistic and creative. Let Zoe find a unique piece that fits your style and personality.
	Keelan Guilliams Sales Associate Keelan has been with Haywoods Since the summer of 2017. He attends James Madison University and has a passion for soccer. He is currently a player on the men’s club soccer team. Keelan is eager to meet you and help you find the perfect piece for you or your significant other.
	Joel Gruver Office Manager Joel has been with Haywoods since 2011. He is a Graduate from Elon University. He is just one part of the Gruver family ties to Haywood’s Jeweler. Joel has love for theater and fine arts. He is an active participate in the Roanoke arts community.
